Who we are
CIEL Property Management is a real estate business operating in Ontario. Our office is located at 480 Eglinton Ave West, Suite 30, Mississauga, ON L5R 0G2. You can reach us at info@cielpm.ca or 416-836-4918. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, cielpm.ca. Maz Riverin, Broker, is responsible for privacy at CIEL Property Management, and questions can be sent to info@cielpm.ca.
What we collect
When you send us a message through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, the topic of your inquiry, how you would like to be reached, your phone number (required if you ask us to call or text you, optional otherwise) and your message. If you request a free guide or sign up for email updates, we collect your name and email address, what you asked for, and the date, time and wording of the consent you gave. Your IP address is also recorded with each submission. We use it to limit spam and abuse of our forms.
Why we collect it
We use your information to reply to your inquiry, to send you the guide or updates you asked for, and to provide the services you ask about. We also use IP addresses to apply daily sending limits that protect our forms from abuse.
Free guides and email updates
If you request a free guide, we use your name and email address to send it to you. We send you marketing emails, such as tips and news, only if you tick the box that asks for that permission. Every marketing email includes our name, our mailing address and a way to unsubscribe, and you can also unsubscribe at any time by writing to info@cielpm.ca. We act on unsubscribe requests promptly and no later than 10 business days. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Sending us a message through the contact form does not subscribe you to marketing emails or texts.
Cookies and tracking
We do not currently set cookies, and we do not use analytics or advertising trackers on this website. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google servers when a page loads.
Who sees your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Messages and sign-ups sent through our forms arrive in our business email inbox and are recorded in our client management system, which we use to track inquiries and follow-ups. Our website, email and client management system are provided by third-party service providers, such as our hosting provider and email provider, who process data on our behalf. Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We may disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your inquiry for as long as we need it to respond and to provide our services. If you are on our email list, we keep your details until you unsubscribe or we no longer need them. If you become a client, we keep records for the periods required by real estate regulation and other laws.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to info@cielpm.ca. If you have a concern we cannot resolve, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not include sensitive details such as banking or identification numbers in our forms.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
